Jacoby 2NT and Splinters

Basics and Beyond

SPECIAL 3-week Course with Jeff Badler & Joe Byrnes

Monday at 6:30 PM
Tuesday 9:00 AM

Two of our popular instructors have teamed up to bring your bidding to a new level.   New mini series:  Jacoby 2NT and Splinters…Basics and Beyond

Most of us have learned the excellent 2 over 1 bidding system. There are alternatives which, in certain circumstances, are more useful. Sometimes using Jacoby 2NT or Splinter bids will convey more information about your hand to your partner.  You will learn how to decide which game forcing tool is the most appropriate for your hand.  We will teach you the fundamentals of these two valuable tools, and then take your skills to the next level.  These two conventions should be in  your bidding arsenal in conjunction with 2 over 1.

Two of our popular instructors Joe Byrnes and Jeff Badler are teaming up again to give you a new learning experience.  Joe has twice been bestowed Teacher of the Year honors, and is one of the most knowledgeable and experienced teachers in the country.   Jeff is passionate about sharing his enthusiasm with beginner, novice and advanced beginners.  This is a unique opportunity to get two premium instructors in one course.  Their first collaboration was a big success with excellent feedback.

You will receive extensive notes on the basics ofJacoby 2NT and Splinter bids.   Before each class, you will receive exercises to try, and after class, you will receive a detailed explanation of the solutions. There will be plenty of hands to practice your new bidding skills.

In 3 two-hour online sessions, you will learn to use the next levels of both game forcing conventions.

The mini course, with both Joe Byrnes and Jeff Badler will be held Monday evenings at 6:30 PM and repeated Tuesdays at 9:00 AM starting  Oct 25 & 26. You may attend either session.  You may attend both at no additional cost.  Repetition is very valuable when learning bridge.  If you need to miss a week, a recording will be provided along with the hands and class notes.

The cost is $180 for 3 classes, $150 with EASY PASS.
