Competitive Decisions

with Barbara & Sara Bayone

Wednesday at 6:30 PM

Duplicate bridge decisions.
Should you pass, double them, or bid one more? These are the choices you face almost every time both sides are in the auction.
Wouldn’t you like to have both the tools and the understanding to know how to go about making sense of it all?
If you would, then may we suggest giving Wednesday evenings a try?

Welcome to the real world of in-the-trenches competitive bidding.
This Wednesday night series, prepared by experts, will be presented to you by Sara and Barbara Bayone. You already know them as two of the best at uncomplicating expert gobbledygook.

Competitive bidding starts with Overcalls. There’s more to Overcalls than “five and dime”. Way more.
There’s: Sandwich, OBAR, Balancing, Jump, Michaels, and The Unusual No-Trump Overcalls. There are really weak 1-level 7-point overcalls. There’s vulnerable considerations too.
And then there are the responses. Both from opener’s partner and your partner. Cue-bids, weak jumps, splinters, fit showing J/S, simple change of suits.

Please don’t think of attending if you haven’t had Overcalls before. This is not your basic mama-papa course. But if you’d like to become a more complete competitive player, or at least have an understanding of what it takes to get the most out of your cards, then, by all means, give us a try.
What have you got to lose, other than frustrations you and your partner experience all too often when faced with difficult competitive decisions?

The cost is $35 per class, $20 with EASY PASS.
