The Defensive Threat – How many Immediate winners do the defenders have? Where and how quickly will they establish additional winners? “We will spend most of class playing hands to really learn these concepts. Knowing how many tricks and how quickly the defenders can win those tricks affects how you declarer a hand. Sometimes a contract cannot be made, and you have to minimize the loss. Other times declarer cannot win tricks in the best suit as the defenders will win too many tricks. By playing hands, we will learn exactly how declarer navigates these waters.”
If you intend on taking one of Jeff’s classes, you should let him know ahead of time. Often there are pre-class hand outs and notes.
